AMD has revealed financial results for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year 2015. The company has no more room for complacency, because revenues still falling, and operating revenues and net profit are negative. Also fell annual gross margin, although in the last three months of last year results was much better than in the previous same quarter. But the company expects a decline in revenues in the first quarter of 2016 by 14 percent, plus or minus 3 percent.

In the fourth quarter of 2015, AMD’s revenue amounted to 958 million dollars and was 10 per cent lower relative to Q3 of 2015 and 23 percent lower then 2013. As mentioned above, operating revenues were negative at -49 million dollars, and so a better result than the year before, when shown to -330 million US dollars. The net profit is -102 million US dollars. To 59 million US dollars decreased net inflows, while previously amounted to 84 million (Q3 2015) and 109 million (Q4 2014). According to the company this is due to lower orders for systems and SoC chips for servers, but also a decrease in royalties from the sale of consoles. Another important section is the Computing and Graphics, whose income is 470 million, 11 percent higher quarter-on-quarter and 29 percent lower year on year. The increase is the result of higher sales of chips for notebooks, and this decline combined with lower orders for processors in the client market. Proceeds from operating activities were negative at -99 million, compared to -181 million in Q3 2015 and -59 million in Q4 2014.

As for the whole year, AMD showed a revenue equal to 3.99 billion dollars, 28 percent lower year on yearThe gross margin was 27 percent and fell by 6 percentage points to the result for 2014 years. The operating loss was clearly higher than a year earlier and amounted to 481 million dollars, while in 2014 it was -155 million US dollars. Net profit was also negative, and in addition, lower than a year earlier – has been shown to -660 million ($ 0.84 per share) vs. -403 million ($ 0.53 per share) a year earlier.
