New rumors indicate that AMD and NVIDIA are preparing to launch graphics cards exclusively designed for mining, in this way AMD would see how it continues selling a great amount of GPUs for this need without gamers being harmed, whereas NVIDIA would enter in this segment monopolized by AMD (as far as GPU cryptocurrency mining is concerned). Currently, AMD is facing problems with the stock of their Radeon RX series graphics cards due to the popularity of cryptocurrency mining.

From NVIDIA it is said that it would be preparing a new variant of the GeForce GTX 1060 oriented to the mining. This graphics card would lose the display connectors preventing players from having access to it. The source also points out that, unlike normal GPUs, this GTX 1060 for mining would only have a 90-day warranty, as it will be running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at full 100% load.

On the other had AMD will launch the graphics card based on Polaris based model for mining, but they will not remove video outputs to reduce costs and encourage miners to go to specific models for cryptocurrency mining instead of deplete the models oriented to the gamers.
