AMD has officially announced its new APU AMD A10-7890K (FM2 + socket) at CES 2016. The new APU is from Godavari series and it is the most powerful APU launched by the company to date. This is due to the use of four unlocked cores based on the Steamroller architecture manufactured @28nm process node. AMD A10-7890K has a base / turbo frequency of 4.10 / 4.30 GHz accompanied by an L2 cache memory of 4MB. In terms of Graphics the new APU is equipped with Radeon R7 based on the GCN architecture with 512 Stream Processors at a frequency of 900 MHz. The total consumption of the APU is 95W, it supports DDR3 memory up to 2133 MHz, and will arrive sometime in the first quarter of 2016 at a price that could be around $130.
Next to AMD A10-7890K, the company announced the launch of some new AM3 + motherboards and FM2 +, and the proof is the Asus 970 PRO GAMING AURA.
