After several months in closed beta, Microsoft today announced, through a publication on the Age of Empires official Twitter account, that Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition will be shown to the public for the first time, probably with a gameplay trailer accompanied of the official departure date during Gamescom 2020.

For those of you who haven’t played Age of Empires III, above you can see the names and shortcuts for some of the units and structures, which make up the word Gamescom. The Gamescom 2020 event will be in digital format and will air between August 25 and 29.

This lines up with Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition being recently rated in Australia and Brazil.
