ADATA announced the launch of its new new high-performance XPG Spectrix S40G SSDs, equipped with a PCI-Express 3.0 interface to be friendly with Intel devices.

These units arrive in an M.2 2280 NVMe 1.3 format and are equipped with a Realtek controller together with TLC NAND Flash 3D memory chips, which translates into sequential read and write speeds of 3500/1200 MB / s of respectively for the most basic model of 256 GB capacity, while the 512 GB and 1 TB variants reach 3500/1900 MB / s respectively.


With regard to random reading and writing 4K, we run into 210,000 / 230,000 IOPS respectively (256GB); 300,000 / 240,000 IOPS for the 512 GB variant; and 290,000 / 240,000 IOPS for that of 1 TB.

The information on the ADATA XPG Spectrix S40G is completed with a useful life of 160/320/640 TB of written data, backed by a 5-year warranty arrives with an aluminum heatsink spiced by two strips with RGB LED lighting fully configurable by software, feature 256 – bit AES encryption, and go on sale at a respective price of 59.90 euros, 99.90 euros and 199.90 euros.
